Today, 74 years ago exactly, Vernon and Gladys married in Verona, Mississippi. The newly  wed couple moved in with Vernons parents, on Old Saltillo Road in East Tupelo. Note the double error in Vernons name, on this official marriage license. The old city hall where the marriage took place, is now being rebuild as a museum. The building is now owned by an Elvis fan.
